United Travel Awarded Quality Assured Seal

Last Wednesday we were invited to an award's ceremony to receive a Quality Assured Seal from the Malta Tourism Authority (MTA). This seal was officially launched in 2008 with the aim to recognise those destination management companies (DMCs) that are committed to high levels of quality and professionalism. In order to achieve the seal, we had to fulfil a comprehensive set of criteria that were designed to ensure the highest quality in event and destination management. 

Some of the requirements that we had to adhere to in order to achieve the seal include having a minimum of €1,000,000 general liability insurance cover and making sure that all our key suppliers have adequate insurance coverage. The Quality Assured Monitoring Committee also checked our finances in order to verify that we are a financially sound company. United Travel has been awarded the Quality Assured seal since 2010, and the MTA carry out an audit to renew the seal every two years. The certificate we received last Wednesday is valid until 31st January 2017.

Malta's Game of Thrones Locations

As Game of Thrones fans all over the world celebrate the eagerly awaited sixth season of the hit TV series, we thought that it would be appropriate to take a nostalgic trip back to the first season. Back to the season that saw Viserys receive his crown of gold, the execution of Ned Stark and the wedding of Daenerys to Khal Drogo. Legends & Myths of Malta

Malta's mysterious, 7000 years of history together with it's strong religious background makes it the perfect backdrop to a number of legends, myths and folk tales. Most of the stories find their foundations in truth and historical facts, with each story being embellished by every generation that narrated it. Other stories were used as explanations of different phenomena that people could not explain. Here are some of our favourite myths & legends...
